Slouchy Beret with Diagonal Ribbing Detail

Simple Slouchy French Beret with a gathered puffy top. I love it. Made with a simple knit four purl four on the bias. Gives a very interesting visual. I gathered the top for more interesting effect. These hats were a joy to make. I wanted a visually stimulating pattern that was easy and mindless to knit. I found it in this design. The band is smaller and is increased to make a puffy hat that slouches.

Gray Heatherd Wool Lace Hat Slouchy Beret

This is a lovely hat made from 100% wool yarn. The color is a heather gray very nice color and soft yarn. It is very warm, and has a lovely fish-tale lace detail all around. This is a very lovely and feminine hat. It would go nicely with any color. I really loved the feel of this yarn. Made for a woman, or teenager. Lace makes a very glamorous effect with very little effort. Band measures 17" and is increased to make a puffy slouchy hat. Stitches are gathered at the top to make a cute rouched effect. One of the better quality hats because of the warmth and quality of the fiber.

Red Short Puffed Sleeve Feminine Cardigan

It is time to talk about the torture is has been to make this, my first garment. I have been battling with it thus far, and I am now just going to have to force myself to talk about. It was a pleasure to make! I got the pattern itself from a book called Fitted Knits by Stephanie Japel, and is knit in the round from the collar down. I love circular knitting, it make a more collective picture of your progress. I used a yarn of slightly bigger gauge and I had to convert the measurements to fit my yarn. I love math....not. The sleeves are puffed and have a raglan arm hole, my favorite. And there is a small lace pattern on the bottom edging. I had one small problem when I made the waist too long and set everything off. I was trying to make it longer but I messed up the fit. I ended up turning under the bottom hem and shorting it. I have yet to take nice photos but here is what I have so far.

Monica's 19 Birthday Winter Trio!!

Little sister is 19!! I made her a scarf, hat and fingerless gloves in teal. Am I not a rad sister?? I will talk about them all.
Gloves: Lace edge around bottom, and top. Thumb gusset and spot of detailed lacing on palms.
Candle Lace Hat
Lace pattern repeats all over.
Fish tail lace scarf: knit.

Rhi's Funky Fingerless Lace Gloves

Lace black very chic, fingerless gloves with added thumb gusset. They are a basic design with eyelet lace on bottom and tops. The lace travels in two different directions around the tops. Loved making these, it was hard to get the lace on top just right. Took time. Hope you love them!! These are made for my dear friend that is moving I'll miss you. P.S I am listing to Cannonball right now.

Kids Winter Hats

Isaac had a more manish hat. Lace and flowers were not very manly. SO I went with a simple geometric pattern with red and white stripes to accent his coat. As soon as the camera come out!!!
Grace has a simple knit cap with a ribbing and lace. It is embellished with a white knit flower. She looks good in red! A very girl-y design and simple. Knit 16" in diameter.
